Intercolor is an international committee, focused on sereach and development of colours. Its members are professionals in the world of consumer profucts, textiles and fashion. The committee consists of 13 countries from Europe and Asia.
Colours tell us a lot about culture, economy and the world's situation in general. Colour knowledge and trend research are important parts of a designers work. The Finnish member association of the committee ICfin analyses and interpret the phenomena of colours and put their thoughts into a colour map. ICfin is the Finnish representative in the international meetings of Intercolor Committee.

ICfin's map for the winter of 2007-2008 presents colours and shades that flicker beautifully in a harmonious interaction. They form pairs that show the passion and rush of the modern day along with the balance of infinite measures. The central thought is the relationship between human beings and the universe. The monochromatic space, the blinding sea of colours of the big cities or the mythical green of old forests consist of the interaction of thousands of colourdots pulsing with the cosmic heart beat.
The ICfin map for summer 2008 consists of different lifestyles and their colour shades. The typical characteristics of the era, such as physicality, health and career-orientated way of living show in the map in colour groups named after different diets. Each group represents their own type of consumer with different attitudes towards work, living, clothing and hobbies.
